The First
24 Hours, Video Tape #1 (John
Mallon) Running time: 1:00 hour in length
Deals with the first 24 hours of a llama's life, and shows how Mr. Mallon prepares the
cria for future training. This training method helps remove fear of the human touch.
"Train your youngsters while they are at their most impressionable age and most
receptive to learning. This early training stays with them and helps them to become
cooperative, willing companions for life. The most important hours you will ever spend
with your llamas are those immediately following birth."
Available for purchase directly from Useful
Llama Items (800-635-5262) or LLAMAS Store (800-401-5262) for around $49.00

fears and respond willingly to the lightest touch.
"A most valuable first lesson that eliminates all of the guess-work and guarantees
the perfect timing needed to teach llamas of any age to respond to the slightest cue. If
you want your llamas to be 'light in the hand,' this is how to start them."

MUSIC FOR LLAMA LOVERS
Diane White-Crane debuted her children's CD "Songs
for Llama Lovers, Young and Old" in July 1998. Musical homages to the gentle
creatures, Diane's songs contain messages about giving, caring, tolerance and sibling
rivalry. White-Crane and friend Dudley (Llama puppet/friend) have toured more than
150 schools nationwide.
The album was produced by singer/songwriter Bill Danoff, who wrote a number of John Denver's hits, including "Take Me Home Country Roads." Danoff, who was a member of the famous '70's group, "The Starland Vocal Band," and wrote their mega-hit "Afternoon Delight", also sings on some of the cuts. Jon Carroll, the other male member of the Starland Vocal Band, plays keyboards and sings backup on several songs. Jon does much of Mary Chapin Carpenter's arranging and keyboard work. Pete and Maura Kennedy, who have traveled and recorded with the likes of Emmylou Harris and Nancy Griffith, provide guitar and vocal backups. Banjo player Ira Gitlin, won a national banjo contest a few years ago.

Walt Disney's "The
Emporer's New Groove" Soundtrack (CD $14.49)
Walt Disney's new animated film "The Emporer's New
Groove" is set in a South American Andean setting, and focuses around the
main Incan character Kuzco who is turned into a LLAMA!.
"The Emperor's New Groove" soundtrack combines the lavish and moving production arrangements of John Debney with the brilliant songwriting and production of Sting to form a very well put-together album.
Every song on the album is written and produced by Sting (who also sings the theme song "My Funny Friend and Me") , and includes performances by Tom Jones (opening and reprise songs of "Perfect World"), Eartha Kitt (as the voice of the character "Yzma", Eartha purrs and growls her way through Yzma's song "Snuff Out the Light"). Rascal Flatts is featured in "Walk the Lama Lama", a cute yet quarky litttle song about llamas, and Sting appears again with Shawn Colvin singing the duet "One Day She'll Love Me". Last but not least is the tremendously brilliant score written and produced by John Debney, which provides somewhat of a sneak-peak as to what the movie is about.
From the
magnificent and moving score by John Debney to Sting's extraordinary
songwriting, production, and vocals, "The Emporer's New Groove"
soundtrack album is considered to be one of Disney's best soundtracks.
